Man in court on Laura charge

Laura disappeared following a night out with family and friends
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of 18-year-old Laura Torn.

Laura was last seen walking home from the Crooked Billet pub in the village of Owston Ferry, North Lincolnshire, in the early hours of 27 April.

Police found her body in a haystack at Misson in Nottinghamshire on 7 May.

Guy Phillip Beckett, aged 31, of Burnham Square, Owston Ferry made his first appearance at Hull Crown Court on Friday charged with her murder.

He is also charged with arson in connection with a fire at the Red Lion pub in Owston Ferry on 25 April.

Mr Beckett was remanded in custody and is due to appear at the crown court again on 15 August.
