Lorry driver injured in accident
A lorry driver has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a major road accident in Suffolk.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said that a lorry and a car were involved in the collision shortly before 0600 BST on Tuesday just outside the Suffolk Punch pub on Norwich Road in Ipswich.

Three fire engines were called to the accident, and other emergency services have been at the scene.

The driver of the lorry has been cut free from his cab, and is being treated for what are described as serious injuries at Ipswich Hospital.

Inspector Mike Hinchelwood from Suffolk Police said it was a major accident.
