Teenager injured in glass attack
A teenager is recovering after being glassed in the face in an attack in Redcar.

The 17-year-old was assaulted just after midnight on Saturday, in Foxrush Close, near the Somerfield supermarket, while walking home from a party with friend.

He felt a tap on his shoulder and when he turned round a glass or bottle was pushed into his face.

The attacker then punched him as he lay on the ground.

Police say blood from the wound left him temporarily blinded.

The attacker is described as white, aged in his late teens or early 20s, 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build with short dark brown hair.

He was wearing dark track suit bottoms.

Cleveland Police are appealing for information.
