A 58-year-old woman has been indecently assaulted by a naked man on a cycle track in the Staple Hill area of Bristol.

The attack took place as the woman was walking along the Fishponds to Kingswood cycle track where it passes over Bridge Road.

The assault on Thursday afternoon follows a similar incident on Wednesday afternoon when a naked man attacked a woman on the cycle track between Bitton and Bath - near Bitton Railway Station.

Police are investigating whether there is any connection between the two attacks.

Singer is barbecue champion

A Bristol man was crowned "king" when Britain's barbecue cooking championships were held in the rain on Friday.

Ben Bartlett, 32, a singer, won the cook-off in a pub car park in north London.

He beat 5,000 other cooks after a national search to find Britain's top barbecue chefs.

He said: "Although the UK doesn't have the most ideal weather it doesn't stop me from throwing a steak or a burger on the grill because it's something that I love."
