Police believe an attack on a man in County Antrim could have been sectarian.
The victim, a 20-year-old man, was beaten with cudgels and wooden bats.
He suffered a suspected broken leg and bruising.
He was standing with a group of people at Glenville Road, Newtownabbey, just before 2100 BST on Thursday.
Three cars pulled up alongside the group.
Men armed with cudgels and wooden bats got out and chased the group.
They caught the man and beat him around the head and body.
Detectives are investigating a possible sectarian motive.
Two men have been arrested.
