Man shot on doorstep

Police are investigating after a man was shot in the leg on his doorstep in Nottingham.

The victim was taken to hospital after two armed men drove up to his house on the Bestwood Estate and fired a shotgun at his legs.

Nottinghamshire Police say the incident happened at 22.40 BST on Wednesday on Andover Road in Nottingham.

The two men made their escape on a motorbike.

A police spokesman said the man's injuries are not life threatening.

They are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
