Trains finally back on schedule
Midland Mainline train
Rail services between the East Midlands and London are back to normal after major disruption over the weekend.

Midland Mainline had to stop all direct services to the capital early on Friday after power lines came down near Luton.

"We are back to normal and all trains are running according to the regular timetable," a Midland Mainline spokeswoman said.

The track was reopened on Monday morning but passengers are still being advised to check times before travelling.

On Friday many passengers were left stranded on trains for more than three hours.

Midland Mainline said it will consider refunds to any passengers who were inconvenienced.
