Two sisters who died after their car collided with an ambulance that was responding to a 999 call have been named by police.
Mary Price, 71, of Sundridge, and Dorothy Sandwell, 67, of Sevenoaks, were killed in an accident on the A25 in Westerham, Kent, at 1240 BST on Thursday, 26 June.
Another family member who was also in the car, 59-year-old careworker Sheila Khan, remains in Maidstone hospital in a stable but critical condition.
Relatives said the two dead sisters, who were part of a four-generation Kent family, were "much loved" and would be "sadly missed".
In a statement issued through Kent Police, they said: "They were travelling back to their mother's house when the collision occurred.
"Typically, they were out together, enjoying each other's company, as they so often did."
A spokeswoman for Kent Ambulance NHS Trust said the ambulance had been responding to an emergency call to a child with a head injury when the crash happened.
None of the ambulance crew were hurt in the collision.
The ambulance was not carrying any patients.
