Hunt for 'extremely dangerous' rapist
An "extremely dangerous" rapist who attacked a 17-year-old girl is being hunted by police.

Detectives said the teenager was forced into an alleyway in the early hours of Sunday by her attacker who then raped her.

She was walking home from a friend's house on Hanson Street, Middleton, by the side of the Oddfellows pub when the attack took place.

The man told her he had a knife and would hurt her before raping her.

After the attack, he made off towards Springvale.

Detective Constable Joe Clarke said the girl was being comforted by her family.

"The victim suffered an horrendous ordeal at the hands of this man.

"He is clearly an extremely dangerous individual and it is vital that we catch him."

The man is described as white and between 5ft 6ins and 6ft tall.

He was wearing a dark grey waist-length coat, dark jeans and spoke with a Manchester accent.

Mr Clarke appealed for anyone who was in the area and saw anything suspicious to contact them or Crimestoppers.
