Jersey Police's firearms registration officer has appeared at the island's magistrates mourt charged with having a weapon without a licence.
Norman Wood, 37, was also charged in connection with stealing money and a pistol from police headquarters.
Mr Wood reserved his plea on five charges in court on Thursday morning.
He is accused of stealing a World War II signal pistol from police headquarters between 1 and18 January this year, as well as stealing £225 from the police between 1 October 2001 and 31 January 2002.
Prohibited weapon
He is also accused of possessing a firearm without a licence and possessing a prohibited weapon or ammunition at his home in St Saviour 18 January.
Mr Wood also faced a charge of obstructing the police in the execution of their duty between 15 and 17 January this year at police headquarters.
Mr Wood was remanded on a warning by assistant magistrate Ian Christmas and will re-appear in court on 13 June.
