The Prince of Wales is due to see how his vision of a summer school for teachers has come to fruition.
The second Prince of Wales Education Summer School for English and History
secondary teachers, being held at Dunston Hall, Norwich, follows the success of
a project which was run in Devon last year.
Teachers from East Anglia will be attending a four-day course of debate and discussion with leading academics including poet Seamus Heaney, playwright Tom Stoppard and historian David Starkey.
During his visit on Monday, Prince Charles was expected to address delegates following the opening session of the course.
He was also due to meet leading academic conference speakers.
Earlier on Monday, Prince Charles, as Patron of the St Edmundsbury Cathedral Millennium Project and County Appeal, visted the cathedral in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, to view building work.
He was shown around St Edmundsbury Cathedral by the Dean, the Right Reverend James Atwell, as well as Warwick Pethers, who designed the new tower's exterior, and Horry Parsons, the man overseeing the work.
He also met with craftsmen, bricklayers and stonemasons involved in the project.
