Gang attack family

Police in Coventry are looking for a group of more than 20 people who attacked a family.

The parents and their two teenage children were attacked as they left the Albany Social Club in Earlsdon.

The family of four had spent the evening at the club, on Earlsdon High Street, and left just before midnight on 5 May.

A gang of more than 20 people then attacked the family.

Serious injury

The 40-year-old father suffered a serious injury to his ear from a suspected bite.

The 18-year-old daughter was treated for a hair line skull fracture and the 38-year-old mother and 17-year-old son both sustained black eyes and bruising.

The motive for the attack is unclear but police say it is thought an altercation inside the club may have prompted it.

Police are anxious to talk to anyone who may know who the members of the group are.
