Man killed in light aircraft crash

A man has been killed after a light aircraft - believed to be a gyrocopter - crashed in Norfolk.

The crash happened at Shipdham near East Dereham at about 1350 BST on Sunday afternoon.

It was witnessed by the pilot of another aircraft, who called the emergency services.

Police and fire crews had difficulty reaching the scene at a remote field next to Shipdham airfield.

Air accident investigators have been sent to the crash site.
