Personalised plates up for auction
Number plates
The 1,600 plates will be auctioned over three days
The biggest ever official auction of personalised number plates in the UK is to take place in West Yorkshire.

Registrations such as 6060 GO, FER 61E and B333 TLE will be among 1,600 plates going under the hammer.

The three-day sale is being held at the National Coal Mining Museum in Wakefield from 11-13 July.

The event has been organised by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), which said some numbers are expected to sell for up £15,000.

Auction manager Damian Lawson said: "We're all very excited about this, the biggest DVLA auction ever, and we're confident it will be the best ever."
