East Anglian art up for sale

The pieces include contemporary work by Bruer Tidman of Great Yarmouth
Hundreds of paintings and other works by some of East Anglia's most famous artists are to go on offer.

Bonhams will hold the sale at the Old Brewery House in Reepham, Norfolk on Tuesday.

The works will include two paintings of the River Yare at night by John Berney Crome, the son of artist John Crome, who founded of the Norwich school of painting.

A view of Norwich by Edward Seago and works by Suffolk painter Thomas Churchyard are also on view at the venue.

Along with paintings and etchings, the collection comprises 350 items relating to East Anglia, including sculpture, books and maps.

One 17th century map of Cambridgeshire on display is valued at more than £500.
