Garden body 'may have fallen'

A man whose body was found slumped near a block of flats on the Isle of Wight died from severe head injuries, a post-mortem examination has shown.

Hampshire detectives said the injuries may have been the result of a fall.

Mark Smith, 36, was found in the back garden of his home in Victoria Street in Ryde at 1000 BST on Wednesday.

Officers from Hampshire's Major Crime Team are continuing to investigate the circumstances that may have led to the man's death.
