Murder police in witness appeal
Bernard Lowe
Bernard Lowe was beaten to death

Police are making a fresh appeal for witnesses to the murder of a 48-year-old Shropshire man.

Bernard Lowe was beaten to death near his home in the Wrockwardine Wood area of the town on Thursday night.

He had been set upon by a group of men.

The police said they are keen to talk to the occupants of a dark saloon car seen in Johnstone Close at the time of the attack.

Detective Inspector Tony Lowe said: "We've made an appeal to the public and we have a number of lines of inquiry we are actively pursuing.

"We can confirm that a dark saloon car was seen in the area at the time of the attack and it's the occupants of that vehicle we are keen to speak to and eliminate from our inquiries."
