Police have appealed for witnesses after a woman was subjected to a serious sexual assault.
It happened at 2215 BST on Saturday in the Old Steyne area of Brighton.
The woman, who comes from the area, was walking near the fountain when she was attacked.
She was dragged into a grassy area near bushes and suffered a serious sexual assault.
Her attacker is described by police as a white man, aged about 35 and of muscular build with short, dark spiky hair.
Detective Sergeant Wilson, of Brighton CID, said: "It is likely that there were members of the public in this area and I would urge anyone that saw anything untoward to contact police."
