The scene of the accident
Police divers searched the reservoir

Police divers have found the body of a second man killed after a jet-ski accident.

A third man swam to safety following the incident at Forrestburn Reservoir, near Shotts in Lanarkshire, on Tuesday.

Strathclyde Police have named the second dead man as Thomas Stratton, of Springhill Road, Shotts.

The force's underwater search team had resumed the search for the 32-year-old at 0900 BST on Wednesday.

He was one of three men who fell into the reservoir shortly before 1500 BST on Tuesday.

The body of 23-year-old Derek Dempsey, also of Springhill Road, Shotts, was recovered about five hours later.

A third man, aged 22, was able to swim back to shore following the incident and was taken to Wishaw General Hospital.

They are believed to have been using a family sized jet-ski.

A police spokesperson said: "There does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

"A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
