Police have arrested the driver of a Range Rover in connection with a crash in which an elderly couple died.
The incident happened at about 0120 BST on Sunday on a slip road from the M25 to the M3 northbound.
The Range Rover was in collision with the Ford Escort driven by the couple.
The couple, who have not yet been named by police, were pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for Surrey Police said the driver of the 4x4 had been arrested close to the scene.
The man, who is in his 30s and from Richmond, was released on police bail on Sunday afternoon.
