Police issue drugs warning

A bag containing potentially lethal medicines have been stolen from a vehicle in Leicestershire, police say.

The theft happened on Wednesday when a Ford transit van was broken into on Cambridge Road in Whetstone, Leicestershire.

The bag contained five different pharmaceutical drugs, a Leicestershire police spokesman said.

The medication could prove deadly if taken in large quantities.

The police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
