Drug blamed for suicide
Seroxat
Seroxat is a widely prescribed anti-depressant

The parents of a Shropshire teenager are blaming an anti-depressant for their son's death.

Adrian Keegan, 19, from Market Drayton, hanged himself after taking the drug Seroxat.

Chris and Dawn Keegan are appearing on the BBC's Panorama programme on Sunday night to talk about what happened to their son.

They said they hope their experience can help prevent another family going through what they have.

Side effects

Chris Keegan said even some doctors are not fully informed about the drug's side effects.

"The GP did not know that it can make people commit suicide.

"He did not know how it can make people harm themselves.

"He was not aware of all the side effects.

"He only knew 13 or 14 side effects and there's a lot more than 13 or 14 side effects to the drug."
