Police investigate assault
The Princess Elizabeth Hospital
The injured man was taken to the Princess Elizabeth Hospital

Police in Guernsey are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted.

The incident happened in St Peter Port on Saturday night.

The man sustained serious injuries to his chest and face after being involved in a fight with two other men.

The incident happened sometime between 2345 BST and 0035 BST in the Lower Vauvert area.

Under observation

The two men have not yet been identified.

The victim was taken to the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, where he has been kept in for observation.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Detective Constable Wright at the police station or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
