Six people have appeared in court charged in connection with an attack on the Tyneside Metro system.
Two Iranian men were injured in the incident at Walkergate station on Friday night.
They were with two other Iranian men travelling from North Shields to Newcastle when they were attacked by a group of people who boarded the train at Wallsend.
One man is still in hospital, although his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Three men, a woman and a 17-year-old youth and a 16-year-old girl were charged with violent disorder and appeared at Newcastle Magistrates Court on Monday.
Two men, aged 20 and 21, were remanded in custody.
The rest were given bail.
They are all due to appear in court again on 19 May.
