Crash driver escapes unhurt
Crash scene in Beeston
The car crashed into a shop front in Beeston

Emergency crews say it is a miracle no-one was badly hurt when a car ploughed into a shop front.

The driver escaped unhurt when the car hit the shop in Beeston in Nottinghamshire early Saturday morning.

Several people who live above the empty property had to leave their homes while fire crews and structural engineers carried out safety checks on the building.

The checks are being done to ensure the building on Meadow Road is safe.

Nottinghamshire Police are investigating the incident.
