Boy hurt in hit and run
A three-year-old boy has been hurt in a hit and run accident in Wirral.

Merseyside Police say the boy collided with a maroon car on New Chester Road, in New Ferry, on Tuesday morning.

Paramedics were called to the junction of Bebbington Road and New Chester Road just after 1130 BST.

The L-registered Vauxhall Cavalier hit the boy close to the Toll Bar pub.

He was taken to Arrowe Park Hospital for treatment.

The car involved in the accident was found abandoned on Wilton Road.

Officers say a man and woman were seen running from the car and are appealing for witnesses.
