Poster appeal in murder hunt
Michael Andrews
Mr Andrews was the victim of a serious assault before his death

Mystery surrounds the circumstances which led to a man being found dead in his flat.

Humberside Police have now launched a poster campaign to help find the killer of Michael Andrews.

The 44-year-old was found in his flat on Dearne Grove, Hull, on Saturday 26 April.

Detectives investigating his murder have failed to establish all of Mr Andrews' movements in the days before his death.

Serious assault

Detective Superintendent Paul Davison said: "The photo is a fairly recent one of Michael.

"We hope by distributing posters it will jog people's memories. We need more information from the public."

Officers are focusing on a serious assault on Mr Andrews in the days before his death.

A post mortem examination revealed the injuries sustained contributed to his death in some way.

Mr Andrews was possibly in the Post Office on Brazil Street at 1700 BST on Tuesday 22 April, the day after Easter Monday.

It is known Mr Andrews was a regular in the Elephant and Castle pub on Holderness Road.
