Chemical sprayed into man's eyes
Addenbrooke's
The victim had to be treated for eye injuries
Two men attacked a man in his own home by spraying a chemical into his eyes, police say.

Officers were called to the flat in Atkins Close in Cambridge on Monday at 0900 BST.

The victim heard a knock on his front door, and when he answered he was sprayed in the face with a chemical, which burnt his eyes.

He was then pushed to the floor and kicked several times.

The attackers searched the maisonette flat, but it is not known whether anything was stolen.

The victim, believed to be in his early 30s, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital where he was treated for eye injuries.

One of the attackers is described as white, around 5ft 11ins and of large build.

He is believed to be in his early to mid 20s, with stubble and wearing a blue football top and a dark coloured baseball cap.

Cambridgeshire Police want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen anything suspicious.
