Woman's body found in lane
Forensic officers inspect the scene where the body was found
The body was found in a hedge in the early hours of Tuesday
Police investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in a Cornish lane have confirmed they are questioning her husband.

The body of the 31-year-old was discovered lying in a hedge at Comford, near Gwennap, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Her 37-year-old husband is being questioned at Camborne police station.

The lane is situated just off the main Redruth to Falmouth road.

It has been sealed off by police, and scenes of crimes officers are carrying out investigations.

Police would like to hear from the driver of a white van flagged down by a man outside the Fox and Hounds pub at Comford at about 0600 BST on Tuesday.

Staff said the woman who died was a regular at the pub
They are also appealing for witnesses to an argument outside the pub - which is about 100 yards from where the body was found - late on Monday night or in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The woman has not been named.

But staff at the Fox and Hounds pub said she was a regular.

Pub landlord John Milan said: "It is a very close-knit community. We all know each other intimately and people are just amazed about what has happened."
