Man jailed for fatal road crash
A 22-year-old Essex man has been jailed for six years for causing a crash which killed a mother and daughter.

David Grimwood, of London Road in Stanford Rivers, was convicted after a trial of two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has been disqualified from driving for five years, and was ordered to take an extended test before he can drive again.

Rosina Lane, 64, and her 34-year-old daughter Linda both died in the accident near Epping in October 2001.

Linda Lane's nine-year-old son, Conor, was seriously injured in the crash.

The judge at Chelmsford Crown Court described Grimwood's driving as "monstrous".
