The former Leicester City player Lennie Glover has appeared in court to deny he was part of a conspiracy to supply illegal drugs.
Mr Glover, who played for the club between 1967 and 77, is alleged to have committed drugs offences with 10 other men.
Mr Glover, of Barnes Close in Kibworth Beauchamp, appeared at Leicester Crown Court to plead not guilty to conspiring to supply Class B drugs between January 2001 and May last year.
He was in the dock with 10 other men from Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and the south east who also denied supplying or attempts to supply a range of Class A and B drugs.
Pub landlord
The case was adjourned until a further hearing in July. A trial date is set for next January.
All 11 defendants were released on conditional bail.
Mr Glover, who's 59, was one of City's stars of the seventies, playing alongside team legend Frank Worthington.
He quit Filbert Street to become a pub landlord before going on to manage Harlow Town.
