Kent Police have issued CCTV stills of three people they want to speak to about a shooting earlier this year.

Pieter Versluis, from the Netherlands, lost an eye when he was shot in the face in Swanley in February and is still being treated for his injuries.

The two men and a woman in the CCTV pictures were filmed on board buses before getting off near close to the scene of the attack and in the hour before it happened.

The shooting happened in broad daylight in a busy street on a Saturday afternoon.

Mr Versluis, 39, was shot near the Deja Vu nightclub in London Road, Swanley about 1330 GMT on 22 February.

Man 'ran from scene'

The father-of-three had travelled to the Kent town from London by train earlier that day after arriving in the UK on a ferry at Holyhead in Wales.

Police said at the time a man had been seen running away from the scene, in the direction of the nightclub.

Nearly three months on, with no arrests made in relation to the case, officers have issued the CCTV pictures and descriptions of the three people they think may have some information.

The woman pictured had shoulder-length dark hair and wore a dark three-quarter-length coat, dark trousers and white trainers.

She was carrying a shoulder bag and got on the 233 bus outside the nightclub at 1255 GMT and got off in Swanley town centre.

The two men in the CCTV footage were together and got on the bus just outside the town centre, disembarking outside the Deja Vu club at 1308 GMT.

One had brown hair, wore a red sweater and dark trousers and was holding a can of Diet Coke.

The second man had darker hair, and wore white trousers and a white zipped jacket with England written across the back and a St George's cross and the numbers 07 on the front.

Detective Constable Jim Dempster of Kent Police's Major Crime Unit, said: "We are trying to trace these three people hoping that they will be able to provide us with further information about what may have happened just before the shooting."
