Customers queued up once word spread of the faulty cash point

A bank has launched an investigation after a faulty cash point was discovered to be giving out extra money to customers in Aberdeen.
Lloyds TSB closed down the ATM machine at their Castle Street branch on Friday night after it was reported to be giving out extra £10 notes.
It is understood that a late night queue had formed at the city centre bank when word spread.
However, some customers are also reported to have got less than they requested.
The fault only came to light when a member of the public called police to say the ATM machine was giving out the wrong money to customers.
The total involved is not yet known and a team of bank investigators is trying to work out how much money was paid out in error by the rogue cash machine.
A spokeswoman for Lloyds TSB said: "We are not quite sure yet what caused the problem but a team of bank investigators are examining the transactions to identify the losses, what money has gone out and what individuals got extra money."
A Grampian Police spokeswoman added that it is technically a theft to take more money than requested from a cash machine - but said it would be up to the TSB to make a complaint against individuals.
