Suspicious object examined

Army bomb experts have been called to examine a suspicious object found on a road in Crumlin, County Antrim.

Security forces have cordoned off the area on the Randox Road, near the junction of Nutts Corner Road.

Police are investigating the possibility it may have fallen of a car travelling towards Nutts Corner at about 0730 BST on Friday.

They want to trace the driver of a dark coloured Vauxhall Corsa, which was believed to have been on the road at the time.

A police spokeswoman appealed for anyone with information to contact detectives in Antrim.
