Nightclub damaged by fire

A nightclub in Dover has been badly damaged by fire.

Nobody was in the Nu Age Nightclub in Adrian Street when the fire started on Sunday night.

Fire crews found the front door and entrance lobby of the two-storey building in flames and smoke logged.

It took crews less than an hour to get the fire under control, but 30 % of the entrance lobby was badly damaged.

A spokeswoman for Kent Fire Brigade said: "The remainder of the building was damaged by heat and smoke."

Police called to the fire just before midnight, are treating the incident as suspicious.

They are asking anyone with information to contact them.
