Paying the price for power
You could be paying up to 20 percent too much
Electricity suppliers are accused of overcharging millions of customers by as much as twenty per cent.
That's the conclusion of a report by the National Audit Office published today On Breakfast this morning, we'll be telling you what you can do to get cheaper electricity bills.

Electricity bills for millions of people are up to fifty pounds a year higher than they should be - according to today's report which says the big power firms are failing to pass on industry price cuts - and it's customers who stay loyal to them who are paying most. The consumer watchdog Energywatch is accusing suppliers of ripping off consumers. But the companies maintain that price cuts have been passed on, and argue it's a very competitive market.
