The teenager was among a gang who broke into the house
Police are searching for a teenage boy in connection with a burglary in Merseyside.

The boy, who was aged about 13, was among three males who broke into a house in Netherton on Saturday.

They had scaled a drain pipe and broke into the house through a bathroom window at about 1745 BST.

The gang were disturbed by the occupier of the house, in Copy Lane, but managed to escape with a gold chain valued at £500.

The boy is described as white, about 5 ft 3 in tall and plump.

He was wearing a black tracksuit, which may have been made by Nike.

Witnesses are urged to contact Merseyside Police or Crimestoppers.
