A nine-year-old pedestrian suffered a fractured skull in one of a number of crashes in Sussex over the weekend.
The boy was in collision with a Ford Orion in Millthorpe Road, Horsham, on Sunday at 1700 BST.
He was taken to East Surrey Hospital where his condition was described as not life-threatening,
The motorist, a 26-year-Horsham woman, was not injured in the accident.
Woman cut free
In another accident in Horsham on Sunday a motorcyclist suffered serious internal injuries.
Sussex Police said the rider was travelling north along North Heath Lane when his Suzuki Bandit bike hit the kerb and he collided with a Ford Fiesta.
The 30-year-old rider was taken to East Surrey Hospital but the 19-year-old motorist was not hurt.
In Brighton a 34-year-old woman fractured her leg when she was involved in an accident with a car on the A259 outside the Queens Hotel.
Police said the woman was crossing the road when she was in collision with a Ford Sierra being driven by a 21-year-old man from Lewes.
And a women had to be cut free from her vehicle when it overturned on the A21 at Flimwell on the Kent/Sussex border on Sunday.
The woman was taken to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings to be treated form minor injuries.
