Woman in hospital after attack

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Cricklade that left a woman with facial injuries.

At about 1645 BST on Thursday, a woman was attacked at a roundabout on Malmesbury Road.

She was punched and kicked in the head, and had to be taken to Swindon's Great Western Hospital.

The offender was described as a white female, aged about 16 or 17, with blonde hair.

She was wearing a pink top, had tattoos on her arms and walked off when a passer-by intervened.
