Police sealed off the farmyard
A man has been charged with murder following an attack at a Cheshire farm where one man died and another was badly injured.

James Stewart Raven, 43, is accused of killing Brian Walters, also 43, who died after being hit with a blunt instrument at Burnt House Farm in Tabley, near Knutsford.

He is also accused of the attempted murder of Sulenan Razak, who remains in hospital following the attack on Thursday.

Mr Raven is due to appear before Macclesfield magistrates on Monday where he will also face a third charge of indecent assault.

Mr Walters, from Mainwaring Close, Stapeley, near Nantwich, was a market trader.

It is thought Mr Razak is being treated at Wythenshawe Hospital in Greater Manchester.

He is understood to still be in a stable condition with multiple but not life-threatening injuries.
