The body of a 13-year-old girl has been discovered in a bath at a home in south London.
Police have begun a murder inquiry after being called to an address in Darley Close, Shirley, Croydon, at 1914 BST on Saturday where they found the body.
A post-mortem examination was carried out on Sunday which revealed the cause of death as drowning.
The victim was later named as Jalpa Patel, who lived in Darley Close.
A 50-year-old man, who was arrested at the same address, remains in custody at South Norwood police station.
Officers have said they are keeping an "open mind" regarding the circumstances of the incident.
