Children rescued from fire
A woman and two children have been rescued after fire broke out at a house in Greater Manchester.

Fire crews were called to the house in Ashton-under-Lyne on Sunday morning.

Fifteen firefighters were involved in tackling the flames at the house in High Peak Road.

The officers, some wearing breathing apparatus, managed to rescue the three people uninjured, although they have been treated for the effects of smoke inhalation.

The fire broke out in the living room of the house, at about 0920 BST.
