Mamade Chattum
The funeral is to take place at a Mosque
The funeral of a male nurse who was killed while working at a psychiatric hospital in south-west London has taken place.

Mamade Chattun was found beaten on a ward at Springfield Hospital in Tooting at 0230 BST on 17 June.

The 34-year-old was taken to nearby St George's Hospital but died from multiple injuries.

Jason Cann, 21, of Springfield Hospital, Tooting, has been charged with murder and has been remanded into custody.

He is due to appear at the Old Bailey on 25 June.

'Loving' person

Mr Chattun's funeral was held at Balham Mosque, in Balham High Street, south London.

His elder brother, Farhad, who also worked at Springfield Hospital, told BBC London: "I lost my brother, he was a family member. You can see all his colleagues are here from work, they love him."

He also described his brother as a "loving" and "caring" person.

Springfield, which is London's largest psychiatric teaching hospital, has begun its own investigation into the attack.
