A man from Lincoln accused of murdering his next-door neighbour is in hospital after he was found hanging in his cell.
Robert Dickenson, 52, was taken to Lincoln County Hospital after he was found hanging from a ligature at the city's prison.
He had been due to appear before Lincoln Crown Court on Monday after being remanded in custody by magistrates last Monday.
Mr Dickenson is accused of shooting George Wilson, 66, at his home in Webster Close on 13 June.
It is believed the two men had been arguing about a hedge.
Mr Wilson was found with gunshot injuries by police and paramedics, and died later in hospital.
