Mother and daughter rescued from sea

Coastguards rescued a woman in her 30s and her teenage daughter
Fresh safety warnings are being issued by coastguards, after they were called out to rescue two people from the sea off the Lincolnshire coast.

A coastguard rescue team and two lifeboats were called to Chapel St Leonard's near Skegness on Saturday night.

They rescued a woman in her 30s and her teenage daughter.

The two were not hurt, but watch manager Mario Siano said swimming in the sea at night is especially dangerous.

He said: "Obviously you can't really see what you're doing and other people can lose sight of you and become concerned.

"There is a chance of getting into dangerous areas where you wouldn't go during the day.

"Also, at night, there is the chance of hypothermia setting in."
