A prisoner who escaped from Dartmoor jail has been recaptured.

Shaun Dibble, who escaped from the prison's exercise yard on Monday night, was captured by Avon and Somerset police officers.

He is now being held in custody in Bristol.

Another prisoner Simon Allen who escaped at the same time has still not been found.

Both men have been serving prison sentences for burglary.

A third prisoner, Mark Picton, 22, was captured shortly after escaping.

An inquiry is under way at HMP Dartmoor into how the men managed to escape from the Category C jail almost a week ago.

Allen is serving 18 months for burglary and Dibble is serving three years for a similar offence.

Allen, 28, from Taunton, is described as white, about 5 ft 5ins tall and heavily built with brown hair.

He was wearing blue denim jeans and either a blue T-shirt or a blue and white striped shirt.
