Sun shines on airport getaway
Stansted sunbathers
A sunny start to the big holiday exodus
Travellers making their Easter getaway from Stansted Airport caught some pre-holiday sun on the grass at the front of the terminal as they waited for their flights.

Among them was student Vicki Leon and her boyfriend Daniel Martin, both 21.

The couple were flying off to Italy for week.

Miss Leon, a human resources student at Bournemouth University in Dorset, said they had opted to fly from Stansted because they could get really cheap flights.

"We set off from Bournemouth at about six this morning because we thought the traffic would be really bad.

"But it wasn't too bad at all and we arrived at the airport really early.

"There's been no particular problems with queues or cancellations or anything like that."

A spokesman for Stansted said the Essex airport had had a normal busy Easter with no particular problems.

"But really it's been nothing out of the ordinary for Easter and we've coped. There have been no particular problems."
