A 43-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to kidnap a nine-year-old girl in south Oxfordshire.
The man was arrested at his home and is being questioned by Thames Valley Police in Abingdon.
The girl told police that a man spoke to her and grabbed her arm as she walked home near the junction of Cane Lane and Main Street in Grove, near Wantage, on Sunday.
She said she managed to struggle free and run home, and the attacker ran off.
