Man shot and beaten
A man is in hospital after being shot and beaten in the street.

The 21-year-old was approached by two men who got out of a car on Dundas Road in Tinsley, Sheffield, at 0010 BST.

He was shot twice with one bullet passing straight through his leg.

The other bullet was later removed from his stomach in hospital.

His attackers made off in a blue metallic car being driven by an accomplice.

The man's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police are examining a burning Ford Mondeo found shortly afterwards in Pye Bank Close to determine if it is the same vehicle used in the attack.
