Murder inquiry over garden body

The dead man was found slumped in Cranbury Avenue
Murder police are continuing to guard a suspect in hospital after a 50-year-old man was found dead in a garden.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, was found slumped near a house in Cranbury Avenue, in Newtown, Southampton.

Hampshire Police launched a murder inquiry following the discovery in the early hours of Good Friday.

Three other suspects have been released on bail to appear for further questioning at a later date.

The victim's identity will not be released until his next of kin have been traced.

Officers are carrying out forensic searches of two addresses in Southampton in connection with the incident.
